Fikus // Ostuni, Valle d’Itria

Apulia is an italian region, full of traditions, like handmade pottery and love for good food. Here, you’ll find more than clear sea water and amazing beaches; beautiful countryside, and tiny white villages and olive tree groves.
For Roberta and Gianvito organic elopement in Apulia we’ve chosen a typical venue, in the heart of Valle d’Itria, in the small village of Ceglie Messapica. The entire story has been set in the Fikus outdoor spaces: under the trullo shade, on the terrace, among the olive trees.
For the dinner table, we chose the old wooden worktable, with unmatched vintage cork and iron chairs, as we wanted to give the feeling of life passing through the furniture. On the dark wood, a splash of color, for a strong contrast with the white and colored pottery. The flower designer Olivia Brusca had decide to work with essences that were available locally: olive branches with fresh garlic, poppies, wild flowers and tomatoes bunches, for a strong organic result. For the entire stationery project Studio Alispi chose a delicate and sober style with the simple but impactful red touch.

But let’s talk about the bride and the groom!
The make up session for Roberta was set under the pergola, wearing a vintage linen petticoat under the clean and ultra white mid-day light. Her wedding dress was from Laure de Sagazan atelier, a delicate and precious model with a vintage allure. Gianvito chose a mismatched suit: the waistcoat, the jacket and the leather suspenders were from Maura Brandino Atelier. The delicate and light color of his outfit finds a nice contrast with Gianvito’s character.
We have wished to tell the story of this magic place, under the southern italian light, and we hoped we did so through the portrait session of Roberta and Gianvito, that could not but end on the terrace, with the warm red sunset embrace.
